Library / Instructional Media Center Services (IMC)
As a resource of learning, the IMC actively and efficiently plays its role to enrich teaching and research in the campus. Its aims are to facilitate the realization of quality Catholic education by gathering and organizing well-selected instructional materials to support the requirements of the curriculum, to ensure that students and staff are effective users of information, and to promote love for reading towards lifelong learning. It intends to meet the educational, informative, and recreational needs of the school community.
As a center for study and research, the IMC offers a wide
collection of books, periodicals, and other print and audio-visual materials to
enhance the curriculum and to meet the multimedia needs of teachers and students.
The internet services enable the users to search, retrieve, and collect
research materials and the other information that they need. The use of Online
Public Access Catalog( OPAC ) provides easy retrieval of needed information
through electronic bibliographic searches.
Audio-visual services are also provided to support the
instructional and learning needs of students. The use of non-print materials
and equipment is encouraged to facilitate and enhance the learning experiences
of students. The St. Clare Audio-Visual Center is made available for group
activities, class presentations, meetings and symposia.
